Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes an ongoing research process in growth-oriented SMEs from Romanian Timiş county. Our survey based on administered questionnaires and field research about participating companies. Based on the analysis of 28 completed questionnaires we are presenting the conclusions related to the following: SMEs resources, entrepreneurs as a person, their skill, and entrepreneurial process. Growth-oriented SMEs are founded mostly by entrepreneurs with higher education, especially in the specialization field of their companies, with previous entrepreneurial experience. There are very well trained in management and entrepreneurship and they have good managerial skills, a good management team. These entrepreneurs are very market oriented, responsive to clients needs. They used an organic growth.
