Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study consists in a complex analysis of the concept of discrimination through the principle of equal rights. The objectives regard the definition and analysis of the discrimination concept, analysis of the interdependence between national and international law acting in this domain.The results of this research are that a study about discrimination from the perspective of the principle of equality of rights, seen from several points of view.The review was interdisciplinary, regarding the fields of legal protection of human rights, public international law and constitutional law. The findings may be used in legislative activity and support for a more detailed analysis of the issues.The main conclusion of this study is that, in order to have good results in this area, a complex action, divided into two phases, is required. In the first phase, it is necessary to develop an anti-discrimination policy at both national and international level, which has to be based on educating all generations in order to determine them, as in inter-human relationships, to apply undifferentiated treatment regardless of the person with whom they interact.
