A research project: the theoretical and methodological objectives and coordinates of the investigation into the knowledge, attitudes and practices relating to the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs among students

Summary/Abstract: The present article is the first in a series of articles which will be published in the future numbers of the journal, all of them centered on the conclusions resulting after carrying out a research on the knowledge, attitudes and practices referring to the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs among pupils from the pre-university education system in Oltenia area. The research was carried out under the coordination of the Dolj Anti-drug Department and accomplished in collaboration with the Faculty of History, Philosophy, Geography (through the Departments of Political Sciences and Sociology) within the University of Craiova, with the school inspectorates of Dolj, Valcea and Olt counties and with the Design and Automatization Institute of Craiova. The subsequent article presents the research objectives and the theoretical coordinates (epistemological and etiological) of the research.
