Summary/Abstract: In this article we have examined the items that set up a coherent portrait for the Romanian journalist. Launched in the process of recovery and synchronization with Western values and operating systems, the Romanian journalist was put in front of unprecedented qualitative and quantitative leaps. In nowadays, the Romanian journalist is trying to adopt the moral and professional values of the West media. But also, he must confront an ambiguous social representation and also he must confront the challenge that the new media are.
