Summary/Abstract: In this article we are focus upon positive freedom, analyzing its historical signification and its present perspective. For that, it is necessary first to explore political view of great philosophers such as Rousseau, Hobbes or Locke, and later to pursue the real meaning of a particular understanding of liberty. On the opposite, negative freedom reveals good answers where positive understanding of freedom meets with difficulties.
