CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES DURING THE ALBANIAN FOLK ARCHITECTURE DURING XVIII-XIX CENTURIES

Summary/Abstract: Albanian folk dwellings, regardless of size and function does not show the same interest with larger objects such as forts, social objects, objects of worship, etc.., In terms of documentary and artistic value that represents is an important legacy fund in our culture. Among the values that it carries noticed typology metriko plan - its volume, materials and construction techniques, aesthetic treatment of adornment and flats creates links with other objects, path or nature, forming architectural ensembles with historical and aesthetic value. The author has focused on a summary description of the materials and construction of technicsused in popular flat, as one of the values that carries this building typology. The paper reflects these values were treated by Albanian scholars of our architectural heritage in studies so far. In this paper aims a look at aspects of the study of materials and construction techniques, setting a basis for an in-depth study in a more comprehensive and contemporary of these characteristics.
