Summary/Abstract: Upper Reka in Gostivar, once with 22 villages and today with 17 villages, there are residential homes but after the war in 2001, once again it fell apart, they can only meet in the summer. The residents of the area forced to flee their ancestors' homes by the difficult economic situation, and especially political, residents who were in the Albanian- Albanian border were duty for leave and migrate to towns and different villages. Material is generally collected under Orthodo. But should know that according to some written sources Upper Reka population up to 60 years' of all, spoke Albanian and therefore was Albanian. In the last three decades of the same century is dissolved in linguistic side. To assimilate it led state administration: there was only opened in Macedonian schools were sent psalltë Macedonian iconography and so was reached that part of the population to draw from use of the Albanian language. In the materials gathered in the Upper Reka for annual holidays prevail Christian rites contaminated here and there with pagan rituals. Personal expeditions with residents during 1995-2000 were made in villages of the area and in areas where they have migrated.
