Summary/Abstract: The research on academic peregrination of Transylvanian students to European universities in medieval and early modern times can be considered largely finished. However, only few Transylvanians have been mentioned in the academic literature as students of the university of Erfurt (founded 1379/92), thus suggesting that the town was of no major importance for students from Transylvania or Hungary. The author presents 24 students enrolled in the published registers of the university from the period 1521-1816 (most of them between 1714-1770), originating from Transylvania or royal Hungary. He concludes that Erfurt was actually of no major importance for students from Hungary and Transylvania.
