An unpublished manuscript concerning the investigations carried out at Cucuteni in 1895

Summary/Abstract: An inedited account on the archeological research undertaken at Cucuteni (county of Iaşi) in 1895 by two amateur archeologists, the history teachers Neculai Beldiceanu and Grigore C. Buţureanu in Iaşi is to be found in the Romanian National Archives, the fund of the Ministry of Cults and Public Instruction, file 182/1897, pages 247-279. The account, written in 1895, reveals new data and details on a less known research on the most famous civilizations belonging to the Romanian Eneolithic. The text is an account on the usage of the fund placed at the two’s disposal by the Ministry of Instruction. The record also contains 30 images and drawings, as well as two plans of the researched area.
