Summary/Abstract: The media discourse being a modern rhetoric form expresses to a great extent the power of language, since it contributes to the formation of the public language speaking. The responsibility of Linguistics is to monitor the language status quo within the communication network of the media discourse and to be its partner in the name of language and the future of the language as a phenomenon of the nation and the state system. If the media discourse is a neo-rhetoric, then the monitoring is a meta-rhetoric.
