Summary/Abstract: The present study deals with the short fiction of Camil Petrescu in an attempt to reiterate or recover the important axiological elements in the works of the interwar writer; moreover, the aim of our study is also to establish Ŕ within our means, of course Ŕ their place by reference to the new novel and, inherently to Camil Petrescuřs new aesthetics, both in his own prose and in his theoretical studies.
