Summary/Abstract: At the level of the Romanian literature, the "crisis" of the autochthonous novel will give rise to a series of theoretical debates, concentrated in two major stages: 1918-1930 and after 1930. Between 1930-1933, Romanian literature is expanding, the Romanian genius reaching the "age of maturity". It seeks to synchronize with the literature of Europe, which Romanian novelists discover and with which they want to establish common points. The growth of the interwar Romanian novel must be related to a series of external factors, emphasized in two major areas of influence: cultural evolution (Henri Bergson and Edmund Husserl) and literary evolution (Marcel Proust and André Gide).
