Summary/Abstract: The present article deals with some models of ethnic interaction between the majority and Ukrainian ethnic group on the base of the field studies and inquiries. The author also identifies and analyzes common behaviour and cultural models of ethnic Ukrainians’ community from the studied villages. At the level of perception of the Other, the research results show a wide spectrum of attitudes and models of behaviour dependent on cultural medium, forms of mass communication, personal experience of direct contact, and stereotypes of social medium. The research carried out in the given communities, revealed a high potential regarding a tolerant interpersonal interaction and may serve as positive models of everyday behaviour. These models probably result from a prolonged coexistence of the ethnic groups, in which integrative processes prevailed over differentiation ones. Despite the necessity of this model of behaviour to be kept, vanishing of special characteristics leads to a cultural melange, manifested through social, linguistic and cultural transformations
