Pecularities of Music Pedagogues Attitudes to Representation of Children's Creativity in Music Activity

Summary/Abstract: The scientists present the conception of creativity as a process, as the way of thinking, as a skill, as a personality feature. The wide - ranging attitude to creativity as a personality feature characterize creativity as the feature of the entire personality which is originally revealed through the expression of the individual's will, emotions, character, intellect, thinking and other features. Student's creativity as a personality feature in music activity manifests itself through music interpretation, arrangement and evaluation fluency, flexibility, sagacity and originality. Creativity through interpretation is revealed by the unconstraint of music performance (singing is light, without tension, the mood of musical composition is deeply felt, different moods are used while singing, adaptation to the ensemble occurs) purposeful-ness (more important pieces of the song are pointed out, peculiarities of a vocals are applied), expressiveness (the character of the song is conveyed expressively (the ways of song performance which have been discussed are added). Creativity, which manifests itself when children arrange music is revealed through arrangement consistency (pupils create self-dependently, concentrated, the aim being to achieve the completion of creation) variety (various means are used to create, various suggestions are made), accuracy (means of expression are selected accurately, phrase is felt while improvising), non-stereotyped (newer music derivatives are brought into, more interesting music expression ways are found out). Creativity which manifests itself through music evaluation, is revealed by evaluation coherency (music experiences are easily defined, pupils' own and their friends activity is clearly defined), versatility (different music performance are defined, more various evaluations are found out), adequacy (pupils say why they like the music, define its mood properly), originality (newer words are found to describe the music, arising images are defined). Investigating music teacher's attitude to representation of children's creativity in music activity, 60 Lithuanian music pedagogues were interviewed. At first they were asked to point what qualities have creative child. As most important qualities music pedagogues pointed being active (pointed 80% of respondents), emotionality (77.3%), originality (68.3%), participation in post school activities (68.3%) and expressiveness. These data led to the conclusion, that creativity is recognized as a quality of all personality, could be expressed through representation of persons emotions, character, intellect, reasoning, capacities and other features.
