Goetheańska idea Prowincji Pedagogicznej jako wyraz nowoczesnego sposobu myślenia o edukacji jednostki i społeczeństwa
Goethe’s idea of the Pedagogical Province as an expression of a modern way of thinking about the education of the individual and society

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is an attempt to reconstruct the genesis and the essence of the ideal of education (Bildung) which determines the form of literary image of the Pedagogical Province enclosed in novel entitled Wilhelm Meister Wanderjahre, and then to extract the premises and indications that decides of modern character of Goethe’s view on education. In connection with that the first part of my paper is focused as well on the meaning of the term Bildung in Wilhelm Meister as on the main assumptions of the Goethe’s ideal of education. In the second part of this work I try to examine the structure and principles of Pedagogical Province considered as an utopian educational institution in Wilhelm Meister Wanderjahre. The conclusion was dedicated to the interpretation of main features of Goethe’s ideal Bildung treating them simultaneously as the characteristic features of the modern way of thinking on education. Artykuł ma na celu rekonstrukcję genezy i treści ideału edukacji (Bildung), determinującego literacki obraz Prowincji Pedagogicznej w powieści Lata wędrówki Wilhelma Meistra, oraz wydobycie tych jego przesłanek i wyznaczników, które decydują o nowoczesnym charakterze ujęcia Goethego, rzutując na współczesny sposób myślenia o edukacji. W związku z tym część pierwsza koncentruje się na znaczeniu terminu Bildung w Wilhelmie Meistrze oraz głównych założeniach Goetheańskiego ideału edukacji. W części drugiej zostają one zestawione ze strukturą i zasadami funkcjonowania Prowincji Pedagogicznej jako utopijnej instytucji wychowawczej, stanowiącej centralny punkt Lat wędrówki. Zakończenie zostało poświęcone interpretacji głównych rysów Goetheańskiego ideału Bildung w odniesieniu do swoistych cech nowoczesnego sposobu myślenia o edukacji.
