Summary/Abstract: The main focus of this paper is, as its title indicates, an incursion into the study of Hervé Bazin's predisposition for specialized speeches and, particularly, the jargon of firefighters, domain considerably foreign of him. We designed the structure of the study in three parts: the first one focuses on the explanation of the titles of the two studies treated into my paper. In the second part, we will attempt to find the theoretical roots of specialized language and see if there would be a linguistic difference between the concept of language and specialized speech, to finally arrive at the goal of my paper, an approach of the novel L’huile sur le feu (1954) and the short story On n’y verra que du feu, part of the collection Le grand méchant doux (1992).
