Summary/Abstract: From 1st to 3rd December 2007, a Ceremony at the Bosnian Cultural Centre in Tuzla, a Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra concert and an exhibition at the International Gallery of Portraits in Tuzla were organised jointly by the Municipality of Tuzla and the International Gallery of Portraits to mark an exceptional jubilee - the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the most important 20th century painters in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This issue offers an authentic testimony of the years shared with Ismet Mujezinović, particularly in the context of the activities of the Collegium Artisticum Group, at the end of the 1930s, as remembered by distinguished composer and conductor, the graduate of the Prague Music Academy, the founder of Opera and Ballet of the National Theatre in Belgrade and the conductor of the Slovenian and Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestras, Mr Oskar Danon (Sarajevo, 1913). In addition to these reminiscences, we have included an essay by Ibrahim Krzović, the author of the Monograph on Ismet Mujezinović, which - using the example of Mujezinović’s Self-Portrait with the War Veteran Medal – shows that Mujezinović’s works are still topical and engage in the best meaning of those terms.
