MUHAMED KADIĆ – LIFE AND WORK

Summary/Abstract: By the end of November 2007, a book entitled ‘’Muhamed Kadić – Life and Work’’ was published by the Academy of Arts and Science of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosniak Institute. Its author, academician and architect Živorad Janković, had prepared it as early as in the year 1990, yet the circumstance did not allow its issuance that would mark the 100th anniversary of Kadić’s birth so that, thanks to the efforts of the academician, architect Ivan Štraus, it came out. The book pays homage to one of the most significant representative of the architectural moderna in Bosnia and Herzegovina whose work and unreserved advocacy of the need of society were led by progress and rationality, yet equally by his exceptional humanness.
