Differences Between Individual and Community Ethics

Summary/Abstract: Based on historical experience and knowledge, it is obvious that social problems requires a different ethical approach. This ethics is still built on the fundamental teaching of Jesus but we need to acknowledge that when collective power, whether in the form of imperialism or class domination, exploits weakness, it can never be dislodged unless power is raised against it. That is the reason why we have to make a specific moral analisys of every group and social conflicts.The social ethics of Reinhold Niebuhr is a major help on this purpose.
