Summary/Abstract: The Demographic Situation in Western Macedonia(Based on Eftim Sprostranov's Memoirs)At the end of World War I (from the summer of 1917 to the autumn of 1918) the famous intellectual and participant in the Macedonian liberation movement E. Sprostranov filled the office of a county governor of Ochrida. The territory of the county, including the areas of Ochrida, Struga and Debar, is crossed by the front line.
