A Linguistic Approach to University Slogans

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents some of the most important writing techniques and strategies employed in creating effective university slogans. Considering the slogan, in general, a form of art, we analyzed it from a literary and linguistic perspective. Taking into account the specific aspects of the university slogan in the panoramic image of advertising language, the paper focuses on the phonological, semantic, morphological, lexical and syntactic strategies used in this kind of slogans. Therefore, the article emphasizes several aspects that make the university slogans a distinct category in the language of advertising.
