Standard of „ignorance” or escape from transparency? Expressions of methodological rigor in research reports

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the issue of deviations of research procedure from the pattern of methodological correctness expressed in the specific methodological rigors. Standard of communication of the research course and its results are also encompassed by the rigors. The text considers the issue of factors determining the occurrence of these deviations, cataloguing these deviations and the issue of the relationship between the author and the reader determined by the awareness of weaknesses in the research procedure exposed in the research report. Therefore, a model explaining this relationship and related classes of communication situations formed around the empirical report is proposed. This model could be a starting point for research on the social legitimacy of deviations from the pattern of methodological correctness and standards of scientific communication.
