From the point of view of the membot. Wikipedia as an enviroment of the cultural selection pressure

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issue of cultural evolution of a fragment of cyberspace, which is the Polish-language Wikipedia. On the one hand, the loose rules created in the initial period of functioning of the project are subject to modifications, and on the other, they become rigid standards for new “generations” of Wikipedia. On the basis of the long-term participant observation, the author tries to outline the scheme of users with administrator (sysop) rights activity in a situation where they are strongly involved in maintaining order and control of the contributions of other wikipedians.
