The Function of Artificial Intelligence in Recognizing Signs and Objects

Summary/Abstract: In this paper I will explain the process of character recognition from car licence plates. The first part of paper is about theoretical aspects of algorithm for getting a character from car licence plates. The whole process shall be explained, including obtaining the picture, preparing the picture for processing, locating licence plate spot and finally character recognition of car licence plate. The second part of this paper is about practical usage of this algorithm. The steps of an algorithm in an example of an image and summary results for the total number of processed images will be displayed. The hypothesis set up in the first part of paper shall be tested.
