Summary/Abstract: As the refugee crisis emerged in he Polish public discourse, the figure of imagined refugee was created, which is present both in pro- and anti-refugee narrative. The purpose of the paper is to critically analyse a variety of actions from a broad educational scope (formal, non-formal and informal education) related to building a positive image of refugees. These actions include various types of workshops, cross-culture meetings, bottom-up initiatives, school classes, visual educational materials addressed to children, young people, adults and seniors. Based on the messages analysed by the author, not only the anti-refugee discourse, as the to-date research shows, but also pro-refugee discourse employs stereotypical figures, rooted in the human rights discourse and cosmopolitanism.
