Summary/Abstract: The article provides an overview of the healthcare policy in Poland. The author presents the data about health of the Polish society and describes characteristics of the healthcare system, with particular attention given to human resources, delivery of healthcare services, access to medicines and financing. The author attempts to evaluate those elements and indicate the problems occurring.
