Summary/Abstract: There are many quality miniature manuscripts existed at the school art in Herat established by Baysunghur Mirza, one of the rulers of the Timur period. The work quality and visual richness of these manuscripts is quite high. If we leave aside the work parts and address the design principles of the pages, we see that the miniatures are based upon certain elements in fictional way and hold a balance in themselves. Our article is interested in studying the design principles of the five pieces of miniatures, which belong to Timur era Baysungur period, appear at Nizami’s Heft Peyker located in New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
