NAM’s Music Library Activity – Providing Information in the Music Process and the Increasing Students’ Information Culture

Summary/Abstract: In this article, multiple developmental stages are outlined, that are followed by NAM’s library, related to the overall information structure creation of NAM “Professor Pancho Vladigerov”, and their implementation, according to the accepted strategic model of 2008. Particular attention has been given to the new discipline “Scientific Information in musicology” developed by the Division of Music Theory, which gives the opportunity to increase students’ information culture and point their attention towards the different digital collections in the internet, that support research in the field of musicology. Database information has been presented here, about certain digital sources that may be accessed on the territory of the Academy as a result of its paid subscription and national license.
