Summary/Abstract: Uncertainty and risk are phenomena that accompany every activity. From year to year there is an increasing number of disasters that threaten the economies of cities and regions. To ensure the stability of the development of local economies risk management procedures must be implemented. Improving risk management in urban areas is important for the long term sustainability of urban economies.
