MUSICAL CREATIVE WORK OF DEMIR KRASNIQIT

Summary/Abstract: In this paper it is presented fruitful work of Demir Krasniqi as a creator (compositor) of authentic songs and also as passionate collector of oral compositions (songs) in villages of Kamenica region, and especially in the villages of Gollak. It should be pointed out that Demir Krasniqi has devoted all his life to songs of various types of folklore. He not only created songs, but also he collected them zealously. His work in this field was laurelled with 12 printed works and with 70 albums of the Albanian folk songs. He created 2000 authentic songs and folk-dances, and collected over 4000 songs of various types. The work (composition) “Shtojzovallet e Gollakut” has marked the best success of this author until now. Within this work there are included 250 songs and some dances which are divided in 16 cycles. The songs deal with various themes, motives, events, phenomena and figures from the history and life of the people.
