Summary/Abstract: The article is a review of the book “Dialogs with Mickiewicz” (A. Spólna, Radom 2017). Anna Spólna’s reviewed book “Dialogs with Mickiewicz” is another voice in the discussion about the vitality or rather deficiency of romanticism in Polish culture. This is an element of the dialogue, not only with romantic or rather Mickiewicz’s tradition, but also with other texts inscribed in the discourse on romantic endur- ance in post-modern times. The publication is an important and opulent collec- tion of updates about the romantic tradition in Polish poetry of the last quarter of a century. The publication is patronized by Adam Mickiewicz as the most recogniz- able symbol of Polish romanticism and as a permanent reference point not only for poets but also for propagators of romantic ideas who want to rely on the authority of a figure deeply rooted in national consciousness.
