Summary/Abstract: Suicidal behavior implies a biochemical mechanism that involves a neurobiological substrate of faulty serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline transmission. Every year almost 800 000 people commit suicide more exactly one person each 40 seconds. According to World Health Statistics, to each successful suicide there are at many as 20 suicide attempts. The role played by neurotransmitters is a never-ending topic of study and more than that a way to detect and prevent suicide.
