Summary/Abstract: The study presents the answers to three questions from a nationally representative sociological survey on the language attitudes of Bulgarians conducted in 2017. Respondents’ answers contain information on school and teachers role regarding literacy. Analysis of the data indicates that teachers are important factor in formation of language attitudes pride and awareness of the norm
