Summary/Abstract: This article’s object are three piano sonatas by Vassil Kazandzhiev, and the main scope of their analysis is the fundamental problem about legitimacy in the music genre in the 20th and 21st centuries, the “clavier sonata” in particular. Through these works there are three possible solutions of the sonata genre that are displayed in this article, that predestinate to a large extent the adequate performance approach.
