Summary/Abstract: Management and development of innovations have important impact in achieving the leadership of competition. Therefore, it is important to implement the role of IT Service Manager, what is an example of proces – organisational innovation. It could lead to acquire of new clients, delivery of new services in a high quality and could be chance for development of smes. This article presents the role of IT Service Manager including the opportunities of financial support from EU side and tasks, which could be led by IT Service Manager in management and development of innovations in smes.
