Summary/Abstract: The Albanian organology with a thousand-year-old tradition is connected with a rich typology of popular instruments. Consequently, even the inherited musical tradition from this typology is so early. In the article are included eight categories of musical instruments, ranked according to the dialectical development of the organological elements which are contained, including here even the five main kinds of the bagpipes known up to now in the Albanian territory. The article examines some questions relating to the typology of the tongue instruments and their construction realized by the talented Albanian master of the working and execution, Pale Dede Gjonaj, the Musical execution and the melodic features which characterize these instruments, the musical repertory as well as other peculiarities relating to the nature of these instruments. The work is adapted for this review after having being held as lecture at the University “La Sapienza” by the Department of the Studies Gloto anthropologic and of the Musical Disciplines together with the popular musician Pale Dede Gjonaj on May 16, 1998 in Rome, in the presence of the students, pedagogues and scholars of different fields.
