Summary/Abstract: Over the past few years, the Internet network has spread across all social strata of Ukrainian society, primarily through mobile Internet. A variety of social networks on the Internet have become especially popular, which promotes the spread of multimedia artistic creativity. Today network literature, network folklore have become a reality, which needs scientific reflection.Purpose. The purpose of the article is to find out main typological characteristics and topics of the latest Ukrainian folklore in network communication.Methods. The research has been conducted with the use of comparative-historical method (comparative) to determine the form of external and internal contacts, influences of intercultural reception on the network folklore artistic paradigms, on the process of plots migration etc. Variety of themes, motives, ideas, genres as well as genre variations, plots and images of Ukrainian network folklore have been considered within the comparative-typological approach.Results. We can define Internet folklore (post folklore, medieval folklore, folk-net, network folklore, folklore on the Internet, e-folklore, cyberfolklore, etc.) as multimedia folk art in Internet communications. The definition of Internet folklore as hybrid oral folklore in the context of new communication opportunities based on Internet technologies is an essential part of the phenomenon perception. In this case, the distribution medium (Internet) is the priority, and it becomes a generator of forms, genres, types of folklore communication. One of the greatest benefits of the Internet is multiculturalism in user’s communications, as well as the topicality of themes and issues of folklore texts distributed through the network. Internet folklore works are spread in waves, often it depends on the general political situation in Ukraine.
