Summary/Abstract: The paper presents various views on the role of work and employment in the context of the historical and contemporary conditions. Increasing income disparities give rise to feelings of injustice and exclusion by the unemployed and by the working people. With a general long-term significant increase in wealth (GDP), the income situation of employees is changing only slightly. This is due to uncertainty and temporary employment, limited social security, the development of non-contractual forms of employment, self- -employment and other disadvantageous work processes for the employees. As a consequence the precariousness, populism and labor migration are developing and the awareness of the change in social policy is growing. Keeping the employer-employee relationship up to date can be detrimental to both parties.
