Summary/Abstract: The article presents a study of 79 children with disabilities and social disadvantage in relation to their competence and value of daily activities. The Bulgarian translation of the American assessment tool Child Occupational Self Assessment (COSA) is used. In addition, each child is assessed by a member of the working staff, and a parent where contacts were established. Comparative qualitative analysis of the activities evaluated by children, parents and staff with the lowest and the highest grade is conducted. Statistically significant differences between the assessments of children, parents and staff on the two scales are established, but they should not be overestimated as qualitative comparison reveals a great similarity in terms of difficulty and the importance of activities. All three groups qualify the most difficult activities as least important and vice versa, which is considered a high level of satisfaction. For the purpose of working with children the qualitative information is more valuable because it gives guidelines for appropriate changes.
