Summary/Abstract: An essay on Orson Welles’ “Don Quixote”, one of the movies that the great director left unfinished. The fragments that have remained and Welles’ notes and interviews relating to his project show the way in which he read Cervantes’ novel, seeing himself in the narrator’s role, and offer a possible explanation for Welles’ procrastinating the completion of the movie.
