Summary/Abstract: The article presents basic teaching issues related to a skilled student. The article tries to answer the following question: how to work with that kind of student? The terminology regarding the support of a skilled student is described and the regulations of educational law specifying the recognition of needs and organization of classes/activities for students with special abilities (special educational needs) are quoted. The author presents the results of a research study on the actions taken by the teacher to support the development of a skilled student at the second level of education.
