Summary/Abstract: Education is among the main national priorities. Regardless of the difficulties that have come into being - mostly economic – funds and opportunities for its development have been provided because in education the Bulgarian sees the underpinning of all successes and elevated it to a degree of national wealth. The role of the school in organizing students‘ extra-curricular time was also assessed. It is also important for parents in the choice of school to be able to attend extracurricular and out-of-school activities at school, playing a complementary training and developing interests, abilities and talents role. That is why it is necessary to apply an effective model of management of the students‘ free time to help the school as a whole in the building of perspective, creative, competitive people. The article provides a model for managing the leisure time for the students at the Second English Language School “Thomas Jefferson”, based on engaging them in extra-curricular, out-of-school and project activities and turned into a trademark for the high school.
