Summary/Abstract: This paper concerns the particularities of M. Dizdar's poetic language, with a special regard to the poet's usage of words from the medieval Bosnian language. M. Dizdar did not consider the old Bosnian language to be dead, but unjustly forgotten. Transmutation of the old Bosnian language was done without national mythology in his poetry, without pathetic and glorification of the past. In his poetic language experiments M. Dizdar relied on the European tradition too, but in many of his language procedures he was completely original.
