Summary/Abstract: The art of George Enesco, universally recognized and appreciated, art of a composer, a violinist, a pianist, conductor and pedagogue, dominate and define the Romanian music of the 20th century. His example has an inestimable value for younger generations, first of all, by his attitude full of wisdom and balance regarding the new musical tendencies. However, despite the attraction towards new tendencies, exactly like Blaga or Brâncuși, Enesco is in his music, outside of time, current of the spectacular moment which has disturbed the spirits of several important composers of the 20th century, completely out of fashion, gaining eternal and ancestral meanings, projected in illo tempore.
