Summary/Abstract: The paper considers a possibility to increase students‘ motivation and to induce emotions in them while studying mathematics by revealing connections between mathematics and literature. An elaboration of a workshop is proposed for self-chosen preparation and an attempt is realized to form interest and positive motives in adolescents. A task is given to find information about famous poets and writers who have dedicated a part of their work to mathematics.
