The structure of human act according to Edith Stein

Summary/Abstract: The inquiry of human person was the central focus during the whole period of Edith Stein’s scientific research. When thinking about human person she also considered the human act. The article inquires into her understanding of the structure of human act in her early as well as late works. I propose a thesis that Stein developed an original account of the structure of human act. This understanding gradually developed – a fact that is based on her understanding of the structure of human person. The article also interprets Stein’s account of the structure of human act within the discussion with other authors studying her work on this subject.
