Summary/Abstract: This short article deals with those foreign words in the ekavian variant of Serbo-Croat which have been integrated into the dictionary taut have undergone the process of ekavisation by which the original phoneme (i) was replaced by (e). The author claims that such examples as inekcija (injekcija), cerada (cirada), lemuzina (limuzina), cementa (cimenta), koleba (koliba) did not result from any accidental change of one phoneme into another.
