Summary/Abstract: Nowadays entrepreneurs want to compete in the market looking for opportunities to reduce costs, im-prove quality and increase efficiency. To achieve this, it is necessary to implement management methods.Subject literature provides us with many useful tools that we can use at this stage. The 5S method is one of the basic methods used to implement the Lean Management concept into an enterprise. The main aim of this article is to present the essence of the 5S method. Five successive stages of the process have been identified, which are simple steps that provide organizations with real benefits. In addition,its advantages and disadvantages are evident from the perspective of use in the enterprise.
