The National Assessment in Bulgarian Language and Literature in 4th Grade

Summary/Abstract: The national assessment is a fact in the Bulgarian educational system as well. It aims not only to show the level, in which the achieved results are equal to the standards, but it can also be a useful way to improve the educational process. This article comments the format of evaluating the skills and the knowledge of the children at the end of the 4th grade in the field Bulgarian language and literature. A tendency shows that the children are able to acquire new information as well as to apprehend texts. The change in the format of the external evaluation has been observed from 2007 till today.
