Summary/Abstract: In the paper, the author focuses on the topic of sustainable fashion and specificities of buying behaviour in fashion shopping. As for the theoretical background, the author defines the key terms related to sustainable fashion, slow fashion and fast fashion. The second part of the paper presents the knowledge from the studies to have been carried out in the field of sustainable fashion. The main part of the paper deals with the results of our own research into the level of environmental behaviour within this segment, the relation of the young towards the environment, the specificities of buying behaviour and the factors influencing the shopping process.
